Where to find help locally

Adults aged 18 and over

CRI Harm Reduction and Treatment Service (No. 11) offers free and confidential information and advice to adults aged 18 and over affected by substance misuse, and access into structured treatment. No.11 provides a confidential needle exchange service, medically assisted recovery, hepatitis screening and vaccinations much more.

Those in structured treatment can expect a dedicated 'care coordinator' who will support individuals throughout the treatment process, including aftercare support. No.11 offers an outreach service in some circumstances.

No. 11 provides access to

  • LGBT Drug & Alcohol Worker
  • Substance Misuse Service (SMS)
  • Community Alcohol Team (CAT)
  • Counselling Services

No. 11 will assess your needs and direct you to the best support for your circumstances, working in partnership with local organisations. For example Brighton Housing Trust's detox support and recovery services or CRI's own alcohol brief intervention service.

Available 10pm-5pm Monday-Friday (8pm Wednesday) and 10am-1pm Saturday. The LGBT worker is available 9am-5pm weekdays

Young Person's Substance Misuse Service in Brighton & Hove

ru-ok?  www.areyouok.org.uk is the young person’s substance misuse service for Brighton & Hove. ru-ok? provides free, confidential help and advice to young people (and their families) because of problems with drugs, alcohol or legal highs.

Available Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

Support for the families, friends and carers of substance users

PATCHED offers free and confidential advice, information and support for the families, friends and carers of substance users in Brighton & Hove. PATCHED offers carer's needs assessments, counselling for individuals and for families, 'outreach' and educational groups.

Available 10am-10pm every day.

The big alcohol debate
