homemove Service Review Group
The homemove Service User Group meetings are designed to allow the people who use the choice based lettings scheme in Brighton & Hove to feedback on its progress. The group meets every three months and discusses any changes, updates and problems that there may be with the scheme.
Currently the group is made up of a diverse mix of people, it consists of homemove staff and managers, tenant association representatives and applicants to the Joint Housing Register ranging from Band A to Band D. The meetings are also attended by guest speakers from the Lettings Team and Sussex Homemove. We hope to involve other relevant agencies and council teams in future meetings.
The first meeting took place in December 2006 and, so far, have proved to be very useful both to the staff who implement the scheme and to the service users. Some of the achievements made so far include changes to the magazine to improve clarity and problems with advertising properties that have been identified and rectified as a direct result of the meetings.
If you are interested in attending the next meeting or would like to find out more about them, please tel (01273) 293130 or email allocations@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
