Adult Social Care services performance and service improvement
We are accountable to local residents, so it is important that we make information about service quality and performance publicly available.
This includes telling you about:
- Carer and service user satisfaction with services
- how available resources are used to support people.
Making information available
Each year we assess how effective Health & Social care support is in meeting the needs of residents.
For example, we examine the impact of Health and Adult Social Care services on people’s lives.
We make the information publicly available in two main ways:
- Adult social care local account - how we are doing - annual review 2016 (PDF 720KB)
- Health and social care information centre - adult social care outcomes for Brighton & Hove
Gathering your views: service users
Each year we ask service users to take part in a survey. This is something that all councils do.
We ask you about your quality of life and your experience of care. The survey responses help us to understand what is working well and what is working less well and may require improvement. This information helps us to improve support available.
We publish an annual User Survey report (PDF 665KB).
Gathering your views: carers
Every two years we ask carers to participate in a survey to find out their views of our care and support services. The 2014 Carers Survey has been published and feedback from this has been used to plan future support for carers in the city.
If you have any questions about how we gather and measure the quality of our services or if you would like a copy of the annual report, please:
