Strategy for conserving Brighton & Hove's Historic Built Environment
Brighton & Hove City Council is currently undertaking a review of the Conservation Strategy that was adopted in 2003. The original Strategy [106kb] was intended to clarify the council’s responsibilities and reaffirm its commitment toward the conservation of the city’s historic environment, including a programme of action and a set of priorities for the future management of our heritage.
In December 2013 we carried out consultation on a draft Conservation Strategy and we are now assessing the comments that we have received. Once the review is complete a final draft of the revised Strategy will be taken to the Economic Development & Culture Committee for adoption.
