The final five-day phase of the works to improve the busy double junction will take place from Monday 20 November.

Certain junctions will be closed between 8pm and 5.30am:

  • Nights of Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st – no entry or exit between Lewes Road and Union Road.
  • Nights of Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd - no entry or exit between Lewes Road and Elm Grove.
  • It is hoped no works will actually be needed on Friday 24th – but the date will be used if bad weather causes an overrun.

Signed diversions will be in place and drivers urged to find alternative routes. Pedestrian routes will be maintained at all times. Bus journeys could be affected after 8pm and passengers should check with operators.

A letter has been sent to residents and businesses in the area, warning of the works.
