Stanmer Nursery

Stanmer nursery - City Parks

Just past Stanmer House, on the left, you will find a hidden gem in the old walled kitchen garden of Stanmer Park. The nursery has been producing plants for our city's parks since the 1950s and now offers home-grown plants for the public to buy.

Come and see the glasshouses in spring when they are packed with bedding plants and hanging baskets for the city's seasonal displays.

Opening times

Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm (last entry 3.45pm)

Volunteering at Stanmer Nursery - and elsewhere in the city's parks and open spaces

Stanmer Nursery is offering an opportunity for you to request autumn stock. We have previously had Polyanthus, Primula, Pansies, Myosotis, Wallflowers & Bulbs for retail sale.

We are now offering a wholesale option to the Landscaping industry at a competitive price. If you have definite bulk orders, we would like to supply you. Or if you have shrub, tree or whip requests, send us a list and we can get you a price.

You can send us an email or let us know through our Stanmer Nursery online enquiry form. Also if you have suggestions of how we, as a supplier, can help you further we would like your feedback. If there are plants you regularly use that we do not have in stock, please tell us. We can save you a trip out of Brighton!
