Want to learn more about the internet and email with one of our Council Connect volunteers?

Whether you’re 18 or over 80 our free help sessions offer one-to-one tuition with a volunteer and usually last 45 minutes. You can have up to 8 sessions with us to help you start:

Mile Oak library

  • surf the Internet
  • set up an email account so you can keep up with friends and relatives overseas
  • researching and finding information for your interests and hobbies
  • finding out about council services online
  • getting help with ipads / tablets or mobile phones

The sessions are tailored to each individual customer and are intended for those new to computers or who need extra help. The volunteer will help you determine whether you need further sessions. View our Get online in libraries video
