The Brighton Festival and Brighton Fringe take place in May each year. Events include theatre, opera, dance, classical concerts and street theatre - from the spectacular to the bizarre.

The city is hosting The Tour of Britain in September 2014 and the Rugby World Cup is coming to Brighton & Hove in September 2015.

Organising an event on council land

Anyone can organise an event on council owned land, providing they follow our guidance and adhere to our terms and conditions. Further information and links to application forms can be found in the 'organising an event' section of our website.

Filming and photography in Brighton & Hove

If you are interested in filming or carrying out a photoshoot on council land, you will need a permit. Further information can be found within the News section of our website, or via the Events Office. You can also download the filming and photography application form (MS Word 155KB).
