Pharmacy survey 2017

Pharmaceutical needs assessment (PNA) community survey

We need your help to understand better the views of local people on pharmacy services available in Brighton & Hove.

We will use this survey to find out if the current services are meeting the needs of local people. Your views will help us plan and improve the health services that pharmacies (chemists) have to offer in future. We are also conducting surveys with pharmacists and GPs.

There are no right or wrong answers to this questionnaire and your responses will remain confidential.

The community survey asks about services such as:

  • getting medicines or appliances prescribed by your doctor
  • getting advice about medicines
  • support to lead healthier lifestyles,
  • getting advice about other services.

The information collected will be used to inform the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA). This is a report published by the Health & Wellbeing Board every three years. The purpose of the report is to identify if there are any gaps in pharmacy services, or other unmet needs identified by the public and health professionals. It is used by NHS England to inform decisions on applications to open new pharmacies, dispensaries or appliance contractors or relocation of premises. It is also used to make decisions about new services to be provided by community pharmacies.

Take part in the survey now.
