Residential Services for Older People
The focus of the council's residential services is to provide short-term care to help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and to speed up hospital discharge.
There are two centres across the city of Brighton & Hove (called Resource Centres), each providing a range of services for older people, which may include residential, day care and home care services.
Increasingly the service works closely with health colleagues as well as other colleagues in other parts of the council, i.e. Housing and Education.
