There is now a central government website for carers dedicated to providing information and services. This is a very useful site and we strongly recommend it.

Brighton & Hove Carers' Survey 2009 - summary of responses

Introduction

The Carers’ Centre for Brighton & Hove was commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council to carry out the survey.  It was sent out to approximately 1,800 individual carers of adults in June 2009 during National Carers’ Week.

 Aims of the survey

  • To find out the changing and unmet needs of carers of adults in the city
  • To implement the 2008 National Carers Strategy on a local level
  • To improve services for carers of adults
  • To influence future resource allocations for carers of adults in Brighton & Hove

The Carers Strategy Working Group will consider the findings in the summary [PDF 64kb] and will take forward any actions arising from these.

For a full version of the findings from the survey please contact chris.lau@thecarerscentre.org, tel (01273) 234045.
