Councillor calls on MPs’ help in securing air quality funding
Deputy council leader Gill Mitchell has today warned that the Government could be depriving Brighton & Hove of millions of pounds in funding to help air quality in the city.
There are growing concerns that the use of the drug Alprazolam, called Xanax after one of the most common brand names, by young people in Brighton & Hove is increasing.

Winter night shelter – update and a look to the future
A winter night shelter has been open for rough sleepers at the Brighton Centre since December. For three months, the shelter has provided beds at night for up to 30 people at any one time.
