Data Protection Act 1998
The Data Protection Act 1998 (EU Directive 95/46/EC) came into effect on the 24 October 1998 and was brought into force on 1 March 2000. The act relates to a wide range of personal data, not just that held in computer systems. It now includes data held in manual filing systems, video and closed circuit television images (CCTV).

Request access to your own information
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you.
There is a charge of £10. You do not have to pay the charge if you receive benefits.
You will need to provide a copy of identification. We need identification so we can ensure that we don't release your personal information to anyone else. The types of identification we accept are listed on the form.
