Bereavement Advice Centre 

The Bereavement Advice Centre supports and advises people on what they need to do after a death.

 Age UK - Brighton Hove & Portslade

An organisation working for everyone over the age of 50 and also for those who support or care for people over this age. 

Armchair Advice

A website offering advice, guidance and support if you need help coping with a terminal illness, are facing death or have suffered a bereavement.

Counselling Directory

A councelling support network to enable those in distress to find a local counsellor appropriate to their needs.

Cruse Bereavement Care

A charity which offers free information and advice to anyone who has been affected by a death. They also provide emotional support and counseling on a one-to-one basis and in groups.

Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID)

A charity whose aims are to increase public awareness and funding research into preventing infant deaths, promoting information about baby heath and supporting bereaved parents.

National Association of Widows

A national self-help organisation which offers comfort and a listening ear as long as it is needed. It provides information, advice and support to all widows through local branches.

Natural Death Centre

A charitable education project provided to help in arranging personal, alternative funerals and can assist in legal matters and advise on self-help funerals. 


A registered charity that provides confidential emotional support to any person who is suicidal or despairing due to bereavement.

 Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Society (SANDS)

An organisation who supports parents and families whose baby is stillborn or dies soon after birth.

An independent charity which helps people cope with the effects of crime. Confidential support and information is provided to help deal with personal experiences.
