Training for early years and childcare providers in Brighton & Hove

Welcome to the early years and childcare training programme for 2018

Below is the list of courses due to run this year. Courses are often added so please keep an eye on our facebook page for updates.

Places are booked using the Early Years channel on the Brighton & Hove Learning Gateway. If your setting hasn't registered for an account, the manager or person responsible for booking training will need to set this up so that they can book staff onto courses, view who is due to attend and cancel places when necessary.

Cost to attend our training

Apart Safeguarding courses marked * are free to attend, these are the standard charges to attend courses on the Early Years and Childcare training programme:

  • A full day course is £60 and a half day is £40 per person for Brighton & Hove childcare providers (One day BHISS courses are £20 as per course flyer)
  • A full day course is £100 and a half day is £60 per person for Brighton & Hove schools, non childcare providers and organisations outside of the city
  • Equalities and BHISS courses are individually priced - please check the flyer
  • Details of the cost of our e-learning courses can be found on the flyers.

Tea, coffee and water is provided at all of our courses.

Please note we accept two applications per setting for free courses.

Cancellations and refunds

Before you book, it's important that you know about our terms and conditions around cancellations. If the Early Years team cancel training due to bad weather, low take up or any other reason, a full refund will be offered. If you apply and pay for a place on a course, but then later need to cancel, we are unable to offer a refund (but the place can be transferred to someone else within the setting).
