Healthy Choice meals and snacks when eating out
Healthy Choice is a joint initiative between Brighton & Hove City Council and the Food Partnership. We support food outlets to prepare, cook and serve food in a healthier way and those that do can apply for an Award. Outlets access free nutrition advice, guidance and help to review menus.
Healthy Choice is open to all outlets serving meals registered in Brighton & Hove with a Food Hygiene Rating Score of 3 or above.
Sign up your business now
We encourage outlets to use healthier cooking methods and ingredients and provide options so customers can make healthier choices if they wish.
If you own or manage a café, restaurant, takeaway, pub, or canteen, find out more about the support available and how we recognise your commitment on our information for businesses page.
Early years, breakfast clubs and residential care settings
The Food Partnership supports these settings to serve varied, nutritious and age appropriate menus. If you want to go the extra mile, further recognition is provided through the Healthy Choice Award Gold - an extra stage for those working towards sustainability standards too.
