Active For Life - Let's Talk
Find out how we’re developing a new strategy for physical activity, sport and exercise in the city.
Being active is good for your physical and mental wellbeing. It helps you to improve your health and feel more connected to other people. It also helps to make the city a more sustainable place to live.
Between May and July 2022, we asked people to tell us:
- their attitude towards physical activity
- the types of opportunities they would like to see in the city
- what support they might need to become more active
We'd like to thank everyone who shared their views through the survey, comments, or at events across the city.
You can view a report on the findings of the Let's Talk Active for Life consultation.
We're using this feedback to develop a Physical Activity Strategy for Brighton & Hove.
The Brighton & Hove Physical Activity Strategy
Our new strategy will provide a framework to guide work over the next 10 years. It aims to:
- find the best ways to support people to move more
- reduce the impacts of sedentary lifestyles
- improve the health and wellbeing of people in the city
In April 2023 we shared a draft vision, mission, approach, and areas of focus for the new strategy. We asked for your feedback on that.
You can read a short report on the feedback we got and how we'll respond.
We're now using this feedback to develop the final strategy.
